Document Description
San Joaquin field division plans to remove sediment and debris from the concrete apron of three culvert outlets along pool 22 and one culvert outlet along pool 25 of the State Water Project. All sediment and debris removal will be completed by hand with the use of hand tools. Sediment will be shoveled into an excavator or backhoe bucket that is parked on the road. Once the bucket is full, the sediment and debris will be dumped into a dump truck. Once the dump truck is full, the sediment and debris will be dumped at either the Lost Hills spoil site or the Devil’s Den spoil site. All work will be completed within the DWR right-of-way. Work is estimated to take 3 to 4 weeks. This work is necessary to inspect and maintain the culverts.
