Document Description
The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) is proposing upgrades and improvements for the existing Light Rail Transit (LRT) Metro A Line (Project). The Project will enable improved operations and provide additional safety measures for potentially faster and more frequent LRT services for the existing Metro rail system in Los Angeles County. The Project consists of adding interlocks to the Metro A Line to allow crossovers and storage of train cars between existing stations. The Project purpose is to address existing operational constraints of the Metro A Line as well as prepare for the anticipated demand of major events.
