Document Description
The Enterprise bridge constructed in 1965 consists of three spans totaling approximately 1,150’ long. The bridge deck is constructed of cast-in-place concrete with two supporting steel trusses spanning from pier-to-pier, or pier-to-abutment. The truss depth is variable from approximately 36’-0” at the piers to 24’-0” at both the ends and at the middle span. The trusses sit on fixed bearings at the center piers and rocker bearings at the ends. At abutments 1 and 4, all anchor bolts at all bearing points are sheared off, 8 total bolts. These anchor bolts are critical for ensuring the structural stability of the bridge.
