Document Description
California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes to replace five existing pump plants on SR 99, SR 51, and SR 160 in Sacramento County. The purpose of this project is to improve the operation of the pump plants. The existing Five pump plants were built from 1940’s to 1960’s with a design life of 50 years and have exceeded their service life. Despite regular maintenance and repair, the pump plants need replacement to provide reliable operation to accommodate the projected flows. Existing facility accesses are in fair or poor conditions, which require rehabilitation to improve functionality and safety.
