Document Description
The project will perform geotechnical investigations to aid in the design of a new accessible restroom facility within the park unit’s parking lot. The investigation will include two (2) borings by a truck-mounted drill rig equipped with hollow-stem augers to depths of approximately 15-feet in the area of the new restroom and up to four (4) hand augered borings to approximately 2 feet within proposed path-of-travel/concrete flatwork areas to acquire soil samples for testing. All borings shall be backfilled with neat cement grout per SDCEHD permit requirements and the sites shall be left in as close to their original conditions as possible. Excess soil may be dispersed in adjacent landscape under the supervision of State Parks monitoring.
