Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes to construct a project to install outer separation concrete barriers, chain link fences, upgrade overhead signs, and rehabilitate drainage systems. The purpose of this project is to improve safety for the traveling public by installing separation barriers per Traffic Safety System Guidelines on State Route (SR) 51 between postmile (PM) 6.9 and PM 7.7 in Sacramento County. The need is to prevent northbound errant vehicles from running off the roadway onto the frontage road.
