Document Description
DWR staff will install K-Rail in two phases to function as a temporary parapet wall. Phase 1 will place the K-Rail along the upstream side of the crest of the dam with the side open to allow continued access. Phase 2 will place the remaining K-Rail to close the parapet wall. To reduce seepage through and under the wall staff will use crackfiller, polyethylene sheets, and sandbags. The sides of the wall will tie into the abutments with minor surface earthwork. The K-rail will be anchored to the road surface. All equipment and work will be within the DWR right-of-way.
