Document Description
The current septic system at the seasonal housing area at Picacho SRA has clogged and deteriorated leach line pipes. The purpose of this project is to replace several elements of this system to restore it to good working order. This includes using the unit backhoe to dig up the existing junction box (no to exceed 4' diameter by 4' deep) and replacing it with a new junction box. Additionally, the 4" solid pipe connecting the junction box to the septic tank will be replaced. The backhoe will also be used to dig up the three existing leach lines that originate from the junction box. Each line is 2' wide by 100' long by 6' deep. Leach line pipes will be replaced within each trench, prior to the trenches being backfilled. Any remaining spoils will be scattered around the project area once backfilling is complete. District standard project requirements have been incorporated into the project.
