Document Description
This 4.5 acre habitat restoration project will plant 1,750 native trees and shrubs and 15,000 native forb, sedge and grass plugs along Calhoun Cut: 4100' of native plant hedgerow, 1.3 acres of riparian plantings in the NE quad, and waterline plantings of native willow and cottonwood in the SE quad. 6 bird boxes will be installed in the project area. The purpose of the project is to create a diverse community of native riparian plants along Calhoun Cut, reestablish a riparian canopy, control several species of invasive weeds and create wildlife habitat.
