Document Description
Alta Elementary School District owns 9.75 acres of land in Alta ca. This property has been identified as a site that is in need of vegetation management in order to reduce the risk of wildfire. Proposed project activities are related to the management of vegetation and are for the purpose pf fuel reduction .Proposed project activities include vegetation thinning using hand and mechanical methods, including chipping, hazard tree removal, mastication, prescribed burning, prescribed herbivory, and herbicide use. These vegetation management activities do not include work within riparian or aquatic sites. Access for the Project would occur within existing public roadways and right of ways. Regular maintenance to treated vegetation may occur on a annual or seasonal basis using the same vegetation treatment methods.
