Document Description
The Project proposes to convert the existing vacant and underutilized site to a green open space area to serve the surrounding community. The Project would include flexible mounded lawn space, mosaic art installations, rotational community art display, paved pedestrian areas, and seating benches. Landscaping consisting of native grasses and shrubs, in addition to flowering shrubs, would be installed throughout the site, along with exterior lighting for community safety. Existing fencing associated with the single-family residence immediately east of the site would be replaced with decorative privacy fencing, which would also be installed along a portion of the northern perimeter of the site. A community art mural would be installed along the remaining portion of the northern site perimeter bordering the existing water tower. The Project would benefit the local community by providing an additional park and green space area for recreation, community gathering, and neighborhood enjoyment.
