Document Description
The San Bernardino County Flood Control District (District) is proposing in-kind curb replacement at National Trails Highway Bridge 56 (Bridge No. 54C0259), located at Bagdad Ditch, approximately 20.90 miles east of Amboy Road in the unincorporated desert region of San Bernardino County. The project will remove and replace a damaged curb on the north side of the bridge in accordance with approved structural plans. The curb measures approximately 4. 7 feet wide by 59 feet long. All work will occur within the existing County right-of-way. Construction will be completed using light equipment, including a rubber tire loader and a rubber track skid steer. The project does not involve vegetation removal, excavation, utility relocation, or material import/export. Temporary electronic traffic control will be used to reduce the roadway to a single lane during construction. The work is expected to take approximately 15 days to complete. This routine maintenance activity is necessary to restore infrastructure damaged in a traffic accident that occurred on May 22, 2025, and will not result in significant environmental impacts.
