Existing Park roads and trails will be used as fire control lines and fire lines may be constructed where needed to protect sensitive resources, infrastructure, and utilities. Constructed fire lines will be limited to a width of 4 feet. Dead trees, shrubs, and tree limbs will be removed near control lines and in burn units and may be piled and burned in order to both prep the units for burning and to accomplish burn objectives. The prescribed burns will be conducted according to an approved burn plan, written and executed under the direction and supervision of a qualified burn boss, in coordination with the Marin County Fire Department, the Tiburon Fire Protection District and the Sonoma-Lake-Napa (LNU) unit of CalFire.
