Document Description
San Bernardino County proposes to acquire an approximately 8.3-acre vacant parcel of land located west of Sunwest Court and south of the Santa Ana River in the City of San Bernardino, Assessor's Parcel Number (APN: 0141-372-44.As part of the transaction, the County will reserve and convey a non-exclusive easement lo Riverside Highland Water Company for its existing underground water pipeline. The alignment and legal description of this easement are provided in the Draft Grant of Easement prepared by the County Surveyor (Attachment 1). This action does not involve new construction or expansion of facilities beyond existing conditions.
Both the acquisition and the easement conveyance are considered limited
administrative and property transfer actions. The acquisition qualifies for exemption under the Common-sense Exemption (Section 15061(b)(3)) because it can be seen
with certainty that the activity will not result in a significant environmental effect. The easement qualifies for exemption under the Class 1 Categorical Exemption (Section
15301 - Existing Facilities). as ii relates to the continued operation of an existing facility with negligible or no physical change to the environment.
