Document Description
The project will consist of replacing two failed culverts located along the south side of Erle Road with two 48-inch-wide culverts. Public Works staff are concerned that if the two failed culverts are not immediately replaced that once the area gets heavy rains that the rains will result in the flooding of Erle Road and potentially homes located directly north of Erle Road.

The project is exempt pursuant to Section 15269(c) of the
California Environmental Quality Act (Emergency Projects). Section 15269 exempts projects that involve the prevention and mitigation of emergencies on public facilities. Public Works, through routine maintenance in the summer of 2025, has determined that if the two replacement culverts are not immediately replaced prior to the upcoming rainy season that imminent failure will occur which will result in the flooding of Erle Road and a number of homes located on the north side of Erle Road.
