Document Description
The purpose of the Project is to resurface a 5,825 square foot gravel-surfaced parking lot to maintain public safety and stormwater control and to remove accumulated sediment from 150 feet of an existing stormwater conveyance ditch to maintain administrative access, public safety, and for stormwater control. The nature of the Project involves the grading and minor soil disturbance of features associated with an existing road (an inboard drainage ditch) and a parking lot with mechanical equipment. No new features or expansion of use will result from the Project.

Reasons for Exemption
The Project consists of the maintenance of existing public facilities (a public recreation facility and an access road drainage control feature) involving no expansion of use beyond that previously existing for the purpose of public safety and natural resource protection, which is exempt under Class 1 § 15301 (Existing Facilities). Temporary impacts created by the Project will be returned to a condition equal to, or superior to, existing conditions. The Project will not result in the removal of healthy, mature, or scenic trees.
