Document Description
Caltrans proposes a Capital Preventative Maintenance project. The purpose of the project is to extend the service life of the pavement within the project limits. The project would ensure adequate ride quality and minimize maintenance. The existing travel way is exhibiting signs of cracking and is expected to continue to exhibit further degradation. The pavement rehabilitation would use cold plane AC pavement (0.15’-0.20’) with HMA or RHMA, open graded on shoulder or travel way, no PCC grinding required. The scope of work also includes replacement and rehabilitation of culverts using various methods, upgrades/installation of signage and guardrails, and installing Complete Streets elements. All work will occur within the Caltrans right-of-way.
