Document Description
Caltrans proposes creating a structural section of 0.33’ Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) (Type A) over a minimum 0.50’ Class 2 Aggregate Base using PG 64-16 binder. The project is located on Highway 1 in San Mateo County in Montara at Seacliff Court (post mile 36.40). Construction equipment may include, but may not be limited to, graders, semi-trucks, dump trucks, rollers, pavers, and sweepers. The depth of ground disturbance will be less than one foot. Some project elements will occur of the paved roadway. Trimming of trees or shrubs and removal of less than an acre of weeds will be required for construction. Any damaged or removed delineation and pavement markings will be replaced. All construction activities are within Caltrans right of way (ROW). The project will be constructed during the summer construction season, starting June 15th, 2026, and work will be completed by October 2026.
