Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification Number BUT-61187-R2, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, James McAlister. The project is limited to vegetation removal on the top and inboard bank of a 2,200 linear foot section of the northern levee of Hamlin Slough. Approximately every 300-feet a 10-foot by 10-foot section of vegetation will be left in place for a total of six (6) undisturbed vegetation sections. The project will not remove any trees with a diameter at breast height (DBH) of four (4) inches or greater. The project will remove dead and downed trees, including partially submerged dead trees. Herbicides will be used within the area cleared of vegetation to reduce the regrowth of Himalayan blackberry bushes.
