The action is for ordinance and map adoption to add a Chapter to Mariposa County Code Title 8, Health and Safety, §8.04. entitled Mariposa County Fire Hazard Severity Zones, is to designate into Mariposa County Code the levels of fire hazard consistent with State Law pursuant to Government Code Sec. 51178 in the State Responsibility Area applicable to Mariposa County, that being moderate, high, and very high Fire Hazard Severity Zones (FHSZs) as recommended by the State Fire Marshall pursuant to Government Code Sec. 511 78.

The action is for ordinance adoption to add a Chapter to Mariposa County Code Title 8, Health and Safety, §8.04. entitled Mariposa County Fire Hazard Severity Zones, is to designate into Mariposa County Code the levels of fire hazard consistent with State Law pursuant to Government Code Sec. 51178 in the State Responsibility Area applicable to Mariposa County, that being moderate, high, and very high Fire Hazard Severity Zones (FHSZs) as recommended by the State Fire Marshall pursuant to Government Code Sec. 51178.
The Ordinance language and map itself does not allow for any physical development. The action would not authorize or allow for any physical changes to the environment as any part of the adoption of the ordinance for local adoption of the State Fire Hazard Severity Zone Map for Mariposa County. Due to no physical changes allowed by the action, it can be seen with certainty that there is no possibility that the activity in question may have a significant effect on the environment.
