Document Description
The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) will be installing a new 8" fire service lateral and meter box at the address known as 4650 Lincoln Blvd, Marina Del Rey, CA 90292. The new 8-inch fire service lateral will be installed in the public right of way onto private property. To install the new lateral, LADWP will need to saw cut existing pavement and excavate a trench for the lateral pipe. Excavation will be limited to the lateral access (4ft by 4ft), lateral trench (10ft by 2ft), and meter box (5ft by 5ft) area with maximum depth of 5 feet. Once the lateral has been installed, LADWP will backfill the trench and repair the pavement. The installation work is expected to take 3 days, with construction from Monday-Friday, 8:00am-3:00pm.

In accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act, this project is Categorically Exempt from CEQA review pursuant to Section 15301, Class 1, and Section 15303, Class 3. Class 1 consists of the operation, repair, maintenance, permitting, leasing, licensing, or minor alteration of existing public or private structures, facilities, mechanical equipment, or topographical features, involving negligible or no expansion of the existing of former use. Class 3 consists of construction and location of limited number of new, small facilities or structures; installation of small new equipment and facilities in small structures, including water main, sewage, electrical, gas, and other utility extensions, including street improvements, of reasonable length to serve such construction.
