Document Description
The Proposed Project will operate a Manufacturing Type 6 Non-volatile Solvent Extraction license within an existing building at 1155 E Pico Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90021 (APN 5132-016-039). The Project will conduct non-volatile manufacturing, cultivation, retail sales, and distribution of commercial cannabis products under State and local law and improve an existing industrial building. Then Project size is comprised of one lot approximately 148 feet deep and a width of 40 feet. The site is currently developed with an existing building. The Project will include only minor interior improvements and no changes beyond existing use proposed. Water and electricity will be serviced by the City of Los Angeles.

Reasons for Exemption
The Department of Cannabis Control has determined that the project is a Class 1 Categorical Exemption project.
Class 1 Categorical Exemptions consist of the operation, repair, maintenance, permitting, leasing, licensing, or minor alterations to existing public or private structures, facilities, mechanical equipment, or topographical features, involving negligible or no expansion of use beyond that existing at the time of the lead agency’s determination. The Project involves the use of an existing building with no proposal for exterior changes or the addition of square footage. The design, location, size, and operating characteristics of the Project are compatible with the existing and future land uses within the vicinity. None of the exceptions to the exemption defined in Section 15300.2 apply to the Project.
