Document Description
This project will strengthen & replace approximately 1,220 LF of water mains along three bridge overcrossings, across Highway 99 in Central Modesto. The water mains are located within existing steel casings installed in the bridge overcrossings along I Street, G Street, and Sierra Drive. These crossing mains are important to the City's water system due to being the distribution points between the Northeast side of Hwy 99 and the Southwest side. The existing water mains are old and undersized cast iron steel mains which are prone to leaking and having low pressures. This project will replace and upgrade the existing mains with City Standard water mains to improve system reliability, flows, and pressures.
