Document Description
The proposed project consists of an amendment to the Coastal Act Categorical Determination of Exclusion (Project No. 2025-047) for the Maintenance Dredging at B Street Cruise Ship Terminal (Project or proposed Project) to update the quantity of material to be dredged from 26,000 to 34,000 cubic yards (cy). The dredge area (–33 ft at the 100 ft mark off the quay wall and –29 ft at the 65 ft mark, with appropriate grading in between), has been revised to ensure the new shore power infrastructure can be used safely and effectively by all incoming vessels. The revised slope angle provides greater structural stability to the quay wall, reduces the risk of soil sloughing, and improves vessel clearance during berthing operations. Together, the added dredge area and gentler slope enhance both the safety and usability of the pier.
