The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. EPIMS-MEN-60447-R1C, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Howard Dashiell, representing Mendocino County Department of Transportation.
The Project is limited to one (1) encroachment to conduct a geotechnical field exploration to inform the structural foundation design for the larger Redemeyer Road Extension Project. Work for the Project will include completing one geotechnical boring within the top of bank and riparian area of the Russian River.

The Geotechnical Field Exploration for Redemeyer Road Extension Project (Project) meets the criteria for categorical exemption type Class 6; California Code of Regulations, title 14, section 15306 because the Project consists of an exploratory geotechnical field investigation for a future bridge abutment location that should not result in a serious or major disturbance to an environmental resource. The geotechnical investigation will inform the structural foundation design of a proposed new bridge over the Russian River near Ukiah.
