Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. EPIMS-LAN-56332-R5, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Southern California Edison (Permittee), as represented by Victoria Parsons.
The project consists of vegetation trimming and trampling to facilitate access to Pole 1341546E’s two anchors, the replacement of both anchors, and the reconnecting of associated guy wires. Project activities will result in 0.014-acre of temporary impacts to Fremont Cottonwood Forest and Woodland. Project site access will require traversing approximately 54 feet of Fish Creek’s bed, banks, and channel, which includes crews accessing the project location on foot and the operation of hand tools. Project activities will require crushing and trampling of herbaceous and subshrub vegetation during access and operations, the trimming of coppicing of one willow tree, the trimming of two cottonwood trees, as well as ground disturbance associated with the anchor replacement processes. The project also includes the restoration of all project areas, including the regrading of channel areas back to their pre-project contours where applicable, removal of project generated wastes, and the restoration of channel ecology and morphology upon completion of the project.
