The Amador Water Agency (AWA) will employ a leak detection consultant to determine areas where existing mains are leaking. The
project will complete leak repairs in the Amador Water Agency's AWS and CAWP systems. All repairs are expected to be in paved
roads or shoulders or well traveled ways. All work in the public right-of-way will comply with City and County encroachment permits.

Reasons for Exemption
The Project would conduct repairs to existing public utility lines owned by AWA. There would be no expansion of use. Work would be conducted within the public right-of-way, and would not impact a scenic highway. Additionally the Project would not impact any historic or biological resources. The repairs would not take place on any known hazardous waste sites.
