Pacific Power is proposing to replace nine transmission poles, reconductor distribution line with covered conductor, transfer transmission wire, and the replace of guys and anchors within the California Department of Transportation’s (Caltrans) right-of-way along Interstate 5 (I-5) in Shasta County within post miles R54.28 to R54.77. Caltrans will issue an encroachment permit (0225-6UF-0402) to allow the proposed improvements to occur within the right-of-way of I-5.

Class 1 consists of the operation, repair, maintenance, permitting, leasing, licensing, or minor alteration of existing public or private structures, facilities, mechanical equipment, or topographical features, involving negligible or no expansion of use beyond that existing at the time of the lead agency's determination. Class 2 consists of replacement or reconstruction of existing structures and facilities where the new structure will be located on the same site as the structure replaced and will have substantially the same purpose and capacity as the structure replaced. The project would have no significant effect on the environment.
