Document Description
The Project will include construction of water supply and associated distribution infrastructure and facilities for City drinking water and fire protection purposes. The initial phase (Phase 1) includes the construction of one 2.5-milion-gallon (mg) water storage tank, booster pump station and installation of related facilities and improvements on +2.89 acres of properly (APN 038-030-031) located on the west side of North Lake Street between Martin and Ellis Streets (the *project site”) in the unincorporated area of the County of Madera (County). Phase 1 construction will also include installation of +13,200 linear feet of transmission main to connect the project site to City Well Station 38. The Project also includes preliminary design considerations for two latter phases of development anticipation of required facility expansions, including installation of an additional storage tank (Phase 2) and discharge capacity expansions (Phases 2 & 3) to meet the City's future demand projections. The Project will be carried out by the City and in accordance with the
provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), the City will be the lead agency. Development of the project site located within the jurisdiction of the County will require approval of a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) by the County.
