Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. EPIMS-SHA-61550-R1, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Pacific Gas and Electric Company.
The project is limited to the demolition and replacement of an existing bridge used to access the Antlers Substation located north of Lakehead. The existing bridge will be demolished and removed. The new bridge will be a 31-foot long by 24-foot-wide precast concrete slab. The new concrete slab will be installed on precast concrete footings/abutments that will be 4 feet wide by 21 feet long. Rock slope protection (RSP) will be installed on the banks of the stream to protect the bridge abutments during high flows. RSP will consist of 6 to 12 inch rock. The new bridge abutments will be installed within the banks of the stream and require approximately 86 cubic yards of material to be removed. There will be both permanent and temporary impacts to the area. The permanent impacts to the area will be 0.014 acres. The temporary impacts will total 0.010 acres. To address the stream overflowing from an undersized crossing directly upstream from the project location, a rock swale will be installed on the northwest side of the bridge to accommodate flood flows.
