Document Description
Project consists of conducting geotechnical investigations at Sky Meadow Road in Big Basin Redwoods State Park to identify soil conditions and provide geotechnical engineering design parameters and recommendations for planned improvements to the road for future use. Over a 5-day period, work use a truck-mounted drill rig equipped with hollow stem augers to drill up to sixteen (16) geotechnical borings ranging from approximately 15 to 40-feet within the existing roadway. Borings will be logged in accordance with the Unified Soil Classification System (UCSC) and will be backfilled with neat cement grout. Borings in paved areas will be patched with cold-patch asphalt concrete.
