Document Description
The Rohnerville AAB contains three retardant loading / refueling pads, a retardant holding tank, and an above ground fuel tank. This project proposes to remove and replace the existing, aging 10,000-gallon jet-a fuel tank with a 25,000-gallon modern construction tank in a new location. The proposed project will demolish and replace two 7’ by 9’ concrete slab sections and one 7’ by 11’ concrete slab section of existing concrete loading pad, install fuel lines, retardant lines, water lines and electrical lines. The entire project excavation areas are located on a platform of imported fill material that ranges in depth from 4 to 12 feet. All excavation conducted under the project will be of the imported fill construction material. The proposed installation of fuel lines, retardant lines, water lines, and electrical will involve trenching and backfilling. Excavated depth will be approximately 2 feet wide by 3 feet deep. No vegetation other than grass and forbs around the perimeter will be disturbed.
