Document Description
The purpose of this project is to repair the exterior stucco and six-over-six light window on the east wall of the Castro-Breen Adobe at San Juan Bautista State Historic Park to protect and preserve the historic structure. Work will:
Remove by hand all loose and deteriorated stucco;
Apply Abatron epoxy to repair exposed wood within adobe wall where feasible;
Use trowels and injection grouter to apply historically replicated stucco mix to exposed areas;
Remove paint and putty from the wood window and repair any damage, replacing any wood too damaged to repair with like-species wood;
Prime, paint and reglaze the window; and
Prime and paint the repaired wall with a paint compatible with the adobe building.
