Document Description
RPCA Solar 14, LLC has requested approval of Use Permit 24-0009 to construct, operate, and maintain an unmanned approximately 25-acre private solar energy production facility that would generate up to 3 megawatts (MW) of alternating current (3.9 MW direct current) energy. The project will interconnect to Pacific Gas and Electric Company’s (PG&E) existing electrical distribution system located adjacent to the site. The project will utilize approximately 8,721 solar modules and 40 string inverters. The solar modules will be mounted to a steel racking system which will be anchored to the ground using driven steel piers. The overall height of the array will be no more than 15 feet above ground surface. Other site improvements consist of ground-mounted electrical equipment, an underground medium voltage utility line, pole mounted infrastructure to facilitate interconnection, a chain link security fence around the site equipment, and an improved driveway access to Wilson Hill Road. The project site is located at the southeast corner of the intersection of Battle Creek Bottom Road and Wilson Hill Road approximately 5 miles south of the intersection of State Highway 44 and Wilson Hill Road, Manton, CA. Assessor’s Parcel Number: 703-250-020.
