Document Description
The Project will remove accumulated sediment within Arcade Creek that has reduced the channel's capacity which has led to frequent flooding of homes on the south bank of Arcade Creek. Arcade Creek's historical as-built design included concrete lined wall for the channel which are now buried from eroding creek banks/slopes and accumulated sediment within the creek. The project will remove the sediment to restore the channel contour to the original design. Concrete/gunite sidewall sections where erosion or failure has occurred are to be repaired by clearing out eroded material and filling with AB and covered with rip rap to help protect from future erosion. There will be no water diversions as the work is planned for the dry season and will only occur in the creek channel with no standing water or flow. Project activities are planned to begin in September, after the nesting bird season is completed, and complete project work prior to the first significant rain event on or before October 1, 2025.
