Document Description
Caltrans proposes microsurfacing of SR-84 in San Mateo County from PM 8.5 to 17.0. The project is intended to preserve the roadway and improve ride quality. Construction equipment may include, but may not be limited to, rollers, grinders, trucks, and pavers. One-way traffic control will be required during construction. The project will involve applying a micro surface treatment to the roadway using bitumen as a binder and placing surfacing material on top, then setting it with a roller. Any removed delineation or pavement markings will be replaced. All work will be conducted within the existing roadway prism and very little disturbance is expected. The project will be constructed during the spring and summer construction season beginning in April of 2026 and completing by the end of October.
