Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. EPIMS-LAN-45259-R5, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Southern California Edison (Permittee), as represented by Victoria Parsons.
The project consists of vegetation trampling to facilitate access to Pole 4104797E, the development of a staging and work area, the removal of a 40-foot-tall wooden pole and associated rock filled caisson, and the installation of a 45-foot-tall composite pole with a rock filled steel caisson. Project activities will result in 0.045-acre of temporary impacts to giant cane patches, thick-leaved yerba santa scrub, and unvegetated wash. Project site access will require traversing approximately 20 feet of San Francisquito Creek’s channel, which includes crews accessing the project location on foot, equipment operation, and operation of hand tools. Project activities will require crushing and trampling of herbaceous and subshrub vegetation, and vegetation removal, during access and operations within a 50-foot-diameter work area, as well as ground disturbance associated with the pole replacement processes. The project also includes the restoration of all project areas, including the regrading of channel areas back to their pre-project contours where applicable, removal of project generated wastes, and the restoration of channel ecology and morphology upon completion of the project.
