Document Description
Caltrans District 8 proposes to install a Midwest Guardrail System (MGS) along the right shoulder of eastbound Interstate 10 (I-10). The work includes removing the existing guardrail and asphalt concrete (AC) dike, installing a new AC dike and concrete barrier transition railing, and adjusting overside drains and controlling vegetation as needed. The addition of new guardrails will improve the transportation facility's crash prevention and mitigation performance, helping to prevent vehicles from veering off the road.
