Document Description
The applicant is proposing to establish a manure separation system at an existing dairy located at 2446 Grangeville Blvd., Hanford, Assessor’s Parcel Number 014-110-052. The proposal includes the construction of a weeping wall separation system (280’ x 310’ for a total of 86,000 sq. ft.). A dirt ramp with a 10% slope will be included south of the weeping walls. A 15” gravity wastewater line will connect the weeping wall system to an existing wastewater retention pond east of the weeping walls. An additional 15” wastewater line will connect the weeping wall to a precast box with a lift pump. The system is designed to improve manure handling at the dairy by separating solids from wastewater. The proposed construction also includes an above-ground manure collection system with a concrete slab, concrete piers, and Hog Slat screens.
