Document Description
The project includes the cultivation of up to 10,000 sf of mature mixed-light cannabis canopy located in Trinity County on APN 018-830-03-00, 3.5 miles southeast of Mad River on South Fork Mountain. Existing activities include the cultivation of 9,960 sf of mature mixed-light cannabis in two (2) 4,980 sf greenhouses. Existing cannabis support infrastructure includes a 2,560 sf two-story storage and processing building, a composting area, 5,000 gallons of water storage tanks, and four 1,000-gallon nutrient mixing tanks. The project includes the use of an existing permitted groundwater well. An onsite septic system would serve the project’s domestic wastewater needs. Power for the site is provided through on-site solar panels. Access to the project site would be via a private road.

The Department of Cannabis Control has determined that the project is consistent with the local jurisdiction community plan and/or zoning designations. CEQA mandates that the project is consistent with the development density established by existing zoning, community plan, or general plan policies for which an EIR was certified and shall not require additional environmental review, except as might be necessary to examine whether there are project-specific significant effects which are peculiar to the project or its site. The project activity fits within the parameters included in CEQA Guidelines Section 15183 and the activity does not require additional CEQA analysis.
