Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. EPIMS-SHA-60548-R1, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Nash Ranch, LLC represented by Louis Nash. The project is limited to seasonal placement of three or four 18-inch diameter by 30-foot long culverts with a minimum 6-inch spacing and 12-inches of cover. Native material from an upstream gravel bar 100 feet away will be sourced as the gravel to be used as the fill material around the culverts. The culverts serve as a temporary low water crossing utilized by farm equipment and high-traffic public vehicles visiting the farm during the summer and fall. Approximately 40 cubic yards of gravel is skimmed from the gravel bar using a combination of a bulldozer and front loader. The culverts are placed in or near the thalweg of Stillwater Creek and the native gravel is placed over the culverts to provide a roadbed approximately 20 feet wide. The crossing is removed at the end of the farming season by pulling back the gravel onto the banks and stockpiling the culverts.
