Document Description
The City of Glendale Recycling Center Storm Water Diversion System Project is located at 540 West Chevy Chase Drive in an industrial area, bounded by West Chevy Chase Drive to the north, the Glendale Integrated Waste facility to the west, a self-storage center to the south, and a commercial property to the east. The Glendale Recycling Center is approximately 1.7-acre property that contains several processing buildings for recycling that are surrounded by asphalt concrete parking lot and work area for the facility. The purpose of the storm water diversion system is to divert the 85th percentile, 24-hour storm events to the sanitary sewer. The new system is proposed to include a detention subsystem and new storm drain pipelines. The new detention subsystem will be at a maximum of 20 feet deep and the new pipelines will be approximately 10 feet deep. The detention structure footprint is anticipated to be 32 feet wide by 72 feet long and 46 feet wide by 47 feet long.
