Document Description
The proposed project is requesting funds to be used to support phase II of the Department of Public Works (DPW) Spring Valley Sidewalk Project at Troy Street. The funding will continue to support the design phase, right-of-way acquisition and coordination, utility coordination, coordination for advertising and awarding the construction contract, and potential construction costs. The project will consist of approximately 1,044-feet of concrete sidewalk, 2 ADA-complaint pedestrian ramps, a marked crosswalk, and other incidental surface improvements on the north side of Troy Street from Central Avenue to Bancroft Drive in the Spring Valley community.

Per section 15301 of the CEQA Guidelines categorical exempts CEQA review of the actions consisting of the “…of minor alterations of existing public…facility…involving negligible or no expansion of existing or former use.” The proposed action involves administrative activities with potential construction costs for the rehabilitation along the north side Troy Street between Central Avenue and Bancroft Drive; therefore, involving negligible or no expansion of existing or former use. Accordingly, the proposed action is exempt from CEQA review pursuant to Section 15301 of the CEQA Guidelines.
