Document Description
This project proposes to connect existing Transportation Management Systems (TMS) elements to existing fiber optic communication systems on Routes 58, Postmile (PM) R0.00/R33.00, and 395, PM 45.8/47.3 in San Bernardino County at various locations between San Bernardino County Line to I-15. Currently these existing TMS elements are not connected to a fiber optic communication system and critical TMS elements such as Changeable Message Signs and Closed Circuit Television cameras are not fully functional due to this limitation. This project would connect the existing TMS elements to a fiber optic communication system to provide a strong and reliable communication link back to the District’s Transportation Management Center (TMC). All work would be completed within the State Right of Way.
