Reasons for Exemption
Forestry activities to reduce conifer/chaparral densities and other forest fuels for forest habitat benefits including forest resilience from insect/disease outbreaks and forest fuels reduction. The projects consists of minor alterations in the condition of the land and does not result in a significant change in land use or intensity of use which is categorically exempt under Class 4 (Minor Alterations to Land). All tree removal is done for forestry purposes.
