Notice of Exemption

Exempt Status
Categorical Exemption
Type, Section or Code
Class 1; section 15301, Class 4; section 15304
Reasons for Exemption
A CEQA Class 1 Categorical Exemption appears applicable since the existing oversized shoulder on the south side of Williams Drive that has been historically utilized as a bicycle and pedestrian path will be replaced with a multi-use path or equivalent. A CEQA Class 4 Categorical Exemption appears applicable since the project includes minor alterations to land to facilitate construction of the new multi-use path. Minor realignment and improvement to the roadside ditch is anticipated to be necessary. Therefore, the Engineering and Surveying Division is requesting a CEQA notice of exemption be filed for the Williams Drive Access Improvement for Vulnerable Road Users Project.
