Document Description
The Department of Cannabis Control, pursuant to authority granted under Business and Procession Code, Section 26012, approved a Small Indoor commercial cannabis license submitted on 7/16/2024 by CC II LLC. The Project will consist of up to 10,000 sq ft of mature and 1,584 sq ft of immature cannabis cultivation
in the M1 Light Industrial zone of Santa Ana. The Project will consist of up to 10,000 sq ft of mature and 1,584 sq ft of immature cannabis cultivation in the M1 Light Industrial zone of Santa Ana. Cannabis will be grown within an 8,000 sq ft building utilizing artificial lights and multiple tiers. Other activities include processing, packaging, and harvest storage. This project is a continuation of their previous Small Indoor DCC cannabis cultivation license that expired on 10/22/2023 and utilized the same space. No Lake and Streambed agreement is required per CDFW, and a Conditional Waiver was issued by the Water Board. Project will be utilizing local water and electricity utilities per original license. Applicants currently hold a distribution license.

The Department of Cannabis Control has determined that the project is a Class 1 Categorical Exemption project. Class 1 Categorical Exemptions consist of the operation, repair, maintenance, permitting, leasing, licensing, or minor alterations to existing public or private structures, facilities, mechanical equipment, or topographical features, involving negligible or no expansion of use beyond that existing at the time of the lead agency’s determination. None of the exceptions to this exemption defined in Section 15300.2 apply.
