Document Description
The Alhambra High School Small Gymnasium Project (“Project”) consists of the construction of a new second smaller gymnasium adjacent to the existing AHS gymnasium. The location of the new gym will be tucked into the campus away from roadways and neighbors. The gymnasium will also include new restroom facilities to be accessed by the existing upper field areas on the campus. Site work for the Project will include installation of new concrete walkways to the new gym and surrounding areas, as well as new security fencing. The Project will also include various minor modifications to existing improvements, which may include landscaping, parking lot, and sidewalk modifications. Construction of the new gym is intended to facilitate greater flexibility in programing AHS’s physical education classes and athletic team practices and games, among other related uses. Approximately three to five (3-5) trees will be removed as part of the Project. The anticipated start date of the Project is June 2026, with an estimated completion date of August 2027.
