Document Description
The Project seeks to raise shallow groundwater elevation and potentially recharge deep groundwater through through on-farm recharge of two 5-acre fields using water supplied from existing groundwater wells. The landowner will apply up to about two feet of groundwater at an approximate rate of one to three inches per day via existing impact sprinklers or the drip irrigation system. The application period will be from November 1 to April 1. The Project will test the leaching potential of recharge in the area and provide information about what may be expected if the Project Applicant pursues future recharge efforts with Mark West Creek water.
