Document Description
As part of the California Stream Gage Improvement Program, the California Department of Water Resources has executed a contract with Zone 7 Water Agency to install a telemetered precipitation and stage gage along Dublin Creek. Equipment installed will consist of two pressure transducer probes, tipping bucket, stage gages and staff plates, tagline/pulley system, solar panel, and enclosure box to house the electronics. Two galvanized pipes will be installed outside the channel to mount the enclosure box, solar panel, and tipping bucket. Galvanized pipe will be driven into the ground to support the staff plates and tagline/pulley system.

Reasons for Exemption
The proposed telemetered precipitation and stage gage installation would allow for stage and precipitation data to be collected and telemetered as real-time data available to the agencies and public. Proposed activities qualify for categorical exemption 15306 (Information Collection). Proposed activities will not result in a significant impact to the environment and none of the exceptions described in CEQA Guidelines Section 15300.2 apply. Furthermore, only hand equipment will used to install the gage and appurtenances, no vegetation will be removed, work will be limited to the smallest footprint practicable, and there will be no changes to the streambed or bank.
